ABOUT US

USHERING IN A NEW CHAPTER FOR TOURISM & HOSPITALITY

There has never been a more important time in the history of British Columbia’s tourism and hospitality industry to band together.

That’s why the Tourism Industry Association of BC and the BC Hotel Association have joined forces to host the first-ever virtual 2021 BC Tourism & Hospitality Conference (BCTHC).

The event theme is Mission Possible, a reference to the resilience and overall tenacity of our vital sector as we look to the future of tourism and hospitality beyond the pandemic.

As the Voice of Tourism for BC, TIABC  advocates for the interests of BC’s $21.5 billon visitor economy. We work collaboratively with our members to ensure the best working environment for a competitive tourism industry.

Equally, BCHA is the voice of the hotel industry, championing hotel related issues including matters of taxation, marketing, corporate relations, labour, and consumer services though advocacy, communication, and education.

Since the start of the pandemic, TIABC and BCHA have been closely aligned, working tirelessly to advocate for relief and recovery support to help businesses survive and to begin the process of rebuilding BC’s decimated visitor economy.

Further collaborating on the BC Tourism and Hospitality Conference provides our industry with the tools, knowledge and skills needed to further navigate these unchartered waters together.

Our desire is for all BCTHC delegates to be informed, motivated, and inspired to take on the challenges in the weeks and months ahead.

We look forward to welcoming you to the BC Tourism & Hospitality Conference, March 8-11, 2021.
